@Notmesam I wouldn't say idiotic but it is not a usable scale without defining the meaning of each label, for example conservatism and socialism are not exclusive to each other you could believe in and apply both 100%, pretty close to my politics.

@ElwhaLife Doesn't seem like that's what most people are these days. It seems many choose to pick a side and conform to blatant tribalism. I could be wrong though. I hope I am.

Unfortunately you are correct. No harm in listening to all sides then using reasoning and logic to come to a wise decision

@ElwhaLife Short version would be that Socialism is where the people "own" the economy and businesses instead of private business owners. Democratic Socialists work from within a capitalistic framework. Private business still exists. North Korea is a Socialist government. A lot of the Nordic countries would be considered Democratic Socialist countries.
