@NorthernRoses We don't have many Socialists here either. We have a growing Democratic Socialist movement but that's different.

Norwegian, nice country, very progressive, socialist democracy, hopefully it stays a nice country. Part of my ancestry too.

@ElwhaLife Short version would be that Socialism is where the people "own" the economy and businesses instead of private business owners. Democratic Socialists work from within a capitalistic framework. Private business still exists. North Korea is a Socialist government. A lot of the Nordic countries would be considered Democratic Socialist countries.
