Merry ? What ever?

I wonder if the saying Merry Christmas will be outlawed in a few years time so as not to upset the minorities. It is already outlawed in some schools? Should never had been an issue. Why outlaw something so intrinsic. To make everyone inclusive you adopt their customs into your own. You do not ban traditional customs and come up with a trite saying in the hopes of appeasing the masses. Gobbledegook

I live in the least religious part of the U.S., say Merry Christmas all the time (this time of year), and have never had anyone object to it. Never heard of it being outlawed anywhere in the country. Any attempts to do so on a large scale are doomed to fail.

@Rutterman Besides, what has religion got to do with Christmas? Most of our Christmas "traditions" are based on earlier pagan myths and distortions of some early Christian traditions. Christmas as we know it is basically a development of Dickens's stories and the Germanic influence on the Victorians.

@ChipmunkErnie It's very much a secular, commercial holiday for most people now.

@Rutterman We can't wait for Santa Bear to deliver our presents, as he has for the past 30+ years.

@ChipmunkErnie Nope. We have to get them for ourselves long before Christmas arrives.

@Rutterman But Santa bear is such a fun bear. LOL

@ChipmunkErnie Hahaha. Can't argue with that. 😆
