Something woke me up in the middle of the night. I was alone in the house, and there was moaning, like someone being very sick, coming from the bathroom.

@4meAndyou In Tasmania, about 1991? Place called Geeveston, visited friends living on a farm about 20 km's out of town. The farm was not old, at least the building was not old. Maybe built in the 40's?
Young couple, One 6 month old baby.
First night there, 1 am, woke to the sound of a crying baby. Mother never went to her baby, so baby kept crying. Eventually I got up and went to the baby. Baby was asleep. ????
Went back to bed, baby started crying again, went back in, baby asleep. Then a lady started talking to me, in my head, I do not remember the context of the conversation after all these years, but she was intimating that her husband was wrongfully imprisoned and she was trying to raise the child on her own. Really struggling to survive.
I was getting flashes of period costumes, around the 1900's. Conversation went on for more than 15 minutes until the mother walked in and said, "What are you doing"?
"I thought I heard the baby crying so I came in to check on her"
"Well she's asleep. Go back to bed"
To which I did of course. On my very first night there.
Shit, did not make a good impression.
This went on for 4 nights in a row then suddenly nothing.
I never got up to check on the baby. I just went with the experience. She, the entity, if that what I may call it, was desperately sad and lonely.
I was totally fascinated. Not at all afraid. Well, there were no bad vibes I was picking up so why be afraid?
This is but one experience. Have had several others, including a very interesting seance.
Want to hear about that?

@4meAndyou The seance did not have the same intimacy as that described above. I mention it here purely to show that there are things out there we know very little about.
My Experience: 30 years ago I moved from Tasmania to a small country town in Western Australia.
Over 2000 miles away.
After 6 months I had four or five friends. One day we were all together and were looking for something to do. We decided to have a sceance. All we did was write out the alphabet and the words yes and no. We cut them out and placed them in a circle. We put some flour on the table so the glass would move easily.
There were four of us. The usual benign questions were asked. One of which was, ” What is your name? ” Adam Ant was spelled out. I asked the question, ” do you know my Father’s name? My Father’s full name was spelled out 19 letters in total. No one else knew my father. He died in 1986. 2000 miles away.I was not frightened by this revelation. I was fascinated.
After some more questions the glass spelled out, ” Kill Tony. ” Tony was one of us. This was spelled out three times. Tony started freaking out and swearing. The glass went to the middle of the circle of letters, then, very forcefully shot across the table and hit Tony in the chest with an audible thud. Tony jumped up in the air, screaming, picked the glass up off the floor, and took it outside and smashed it onto the ground. This experience fascinated me. My beliefs about death were that we died and there was no more.
If you believe the Scientific viewpoint then there is no afterlife.
How can this experience be explained? I have posted my experience on a Supernatural forum once before and received nothing but ridicule and hate mail. I was called delusional and a liar.
I am not delusional, nor am I liar.
This experience was real and did happen.
I have not done it since. I have no inclination to do it again.
Other things have happened. Once in Kalgoorlie Boulder I walked into a friends Grandparents 100 + year old house. Walking through the house, I was drawn to a particular room. Looked like a library/study. Full of old books/furniture. I had this overwhelming bout of Deja Vu sweep over me. I had been in that room before.
In reality, impossible. I recently came over from Tasmania, never been to WA let alone Kalgoorlie.
I was so overwhelmed I had to sit on the floor, shut my eyes.I fell asleep until the Elderly Grandmother came into the room, woke me up and asked me to leave. She looked slightly scared.
I do seem to be receptive to something.
A member on here said I should visit when I am in Melbourne, I said without any pause, sure, maybe we can go for a meal at the Delhi at Night Indian Restaurant.
I had never heard of this restaurant before this.
His response was, "Your kidding, I used to go there all the time until I moved house"
Things just pop into my head when I talk to people I have never met. This happens quite often.
I seem to pick up vibes of what ever from them.

@Gusman That was a scary experience.
I know about that kind of sensitivity, and I know about things popping out of your mouth and you don't know where it came from.
I have had ONE experience with a Ouija board at a college party, and I am pretty sure my roommate was moving the pointer. She spelled out "pyromaniac". Later on I heard that the boards are dangerous and you should never open your personal "doors" to something completely unidentified.
