Well, if they ended up in Heaven, it would be because they repented and became good people and were forgiven... Are we to judge God's decisions? Funny how so many people who claim to be (and thing of themselves) as "good Christians" fail to acknowledge a basic tenant of Christianity: we must forgive those who repent, not seek revenge. I'm the first to admit it's not easy, but most "Christians" don't even try...

@bijouxbroussard And then came the New Testament, which, as I understand, overrides the Old Testament... I agree that the Old Testament has lots of things that seem to contradict Jesus teachings. Indeed, it was the priests who handed Jesus to be put to death, as they perceived he was going against their (Old Testament) teachings. Although Jesus himself said he didn't came to attack (the precise word escapes me) the old teachings, but to "fulfill them".

Personally, I expect the same eternal oblivion after death that I experienced before my birth, so for me it's purely hypothetical.

It is not a thought I would entertain because it is not reality. Those individuals who chose to prepetrate evil are not welcome in heaven. They will reap punishment because of the evil deeds they have sown on this earth.
