@JustGoneNow How can we educate better in order to reduce homeless youth?
@Phire1 Start with the youth. 🖤

Inheriting a home then selling it.. living in hotels and indulging in drink and gambling! Before they know it their money is gone.. showing nothing for it! Existing family are embarrassed and nobody wants to help. Depression and grief sets in.. no address nowhere to go.. it becomes desperate that the street becomes their home as welfare can't help with no address.😢
@Dusty101 It’s up to all of us. 🖤

@JustGoneNow Thank you very much for taking your time to post those images. I have had given away most of my earnings for those who live on the streets. I always wondered the reason why someone has to suffer like that and wanted to find a permanent solution. Maybe one day I will ☺👍

There are many 'reasons' of homelessness. Mental health issues, addictions, lack of social support, lack of family/friends to help, physical disabilities, difficulty obtaining and maintaining employment, lack of education, domestic violence/abuse, companies downsizing and/or going out of business, too many applicants for jobs, low wages compared to housing costs, Veterans transitioning back into civilian life/Veterans with no support/Veterans with mental and physical health issues, the list goes on and on.
I really like the Housing First approach. It also coincides with Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.

I think it’s a mental break with society ,they feel they don’t fit in . So next time you see someone homeless at least smile and say hello 😊. The gesture goes a long way

Around here, Hurricane Harvey destroyed many low cost homes/apartments and the owners decided not to repair them. The people had nowhere to go. Many were housed in hotels at government expense, but even that space was limited. To complicate matters, some businesses had to shut down, leaving low income people with no alternatives.

Some choose it.
Because life and people.. There was a whole family once who became homeless because the dad's business partner stole All their money .. And left them with nothing
Because they didn't have a house
