Have you encountered trolls or pervs offline?

I did 411 directory assistance for just over a year.

I dubbed one guy Wild Bill, after the psycho in Silence of the Lambs. He has this dithering little voice and would always say the same things.

Operator: City and state, please
WB: Ehh.. How you doin..
Operator: City and state, please
WB: Ehhh.. I went shopping today..
Operator: City and state please or I will have to disconnect
WB: Ehh.. I got some lingerie today.. A pink nighty..
Operator: Operator disconnecting

Only the items he purchased would vary. Guy would call dozens of times in a row. Smh

I once thought a salesman was giving me some kind of creepy sex talk. He was talking about male & female connecting parts in a computer hardware shop. I was buying a new lead. I didn't realise they actually were called that. 😂

When I worked for a mental health service a guy used to phone up and say aliens had kidnapped him, stripped him naked, tied him up in plastic bags, put a plastic bag over his head and were keeping him captive. I did used to wonder how he was making the call...it was mental health though. 🙂
