Have you encountered trolls or pervs offline?

I did 411 directory assistance for just over a year.

I dubbed one guy Wild Bill, after the psycho in Silence of the Lambs. He has this dithering little voice and would always say the same things.

Operator: City and state, please
WB: Ehh.. How you doin..
Operator: City and state, please
WB: Ehhh.. I went shopping today..
Operator: City and state please or I will have to disconnect
WB: Ehh.. I got some lingerie today.. A pink nighty..
Operator: Operator disconnecting

Only the items he purchased would vary. Guy would call dozens of times in a row. Smh

Yes quite a few times. When I was in my late teens I looked younger, had long hair, tanned skin from surfing, athletic body and didn't look particularly masculine, pretty naive and I guess you could say I was the emo of the early 90's and this seemed to attract the pedo's everywhere. If I had been hit on by girls as much as creepy old men I would have had a great time as a teen 😒

@SW-User Yikes. I used to like going to the docks overlooking a nearby river at night, but dudes do discreet meet ups there apparently. After a couple guys trying to pick me up I quit going

@DanielChristensen Yes I can relate. I was very lucky that I learned without experiencing anything bad. Just being hit on and having them tell you what they want to do to you was enough to make me really think about where I went on my own. I had a couple of close calls but those experiences all made me think about how a lot of women must get treated too.

@Dewkissedrose I guess i survived without anything major happening so I'm very lucky... but when I hear stories from women about this kind of thing I can understand the fear and the uncomfortable feeling.
