I was fascinated with sci-fi and futurism when it seemed distant and not a current reality

And now that it is becoming real, I'm not sure how to feel. As the world becomes more synthetic and digitized I'm not sure if I should retreat or go along with it.

I say go along with it and maintain a balance between the old and the new.

In 1968 the sci-fi book Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep was written. Now we're building AI machines that can not only answer that question but also take over your job :-/

@Zaphod42 We are living in rapidly changing times, in transitioning times. You have also seen more changes than me, I find that really interesting.

@dark548 I'll be honest, part of me can't wait to own a self driving car and part of me misses living in a world where rotory phones were still the best means of communication over distance.

@Zaphod42 Exactly! That's the conflicting feelings I have. Sometimes I wish I had a non touch screen phone just to take a break or an old school iPod. However; I do find it fascinating being able to experience touch screen technology as a person who has lived before it.
