I'm not necessarily opposed to these policies specifically. I'm more concerned that they either won't get implemented or there will be even more cuts for the wealthy included that will spiral us either deeper into deficit, trigger an austerity related recession/depression, or both.
But I'm willing to be happily surprised. For as absolutely terrible as he was in his first term, the trade deals with the rest of north America, Japan, and Korea ended up being not awful.

@ViciDraco Did tRump revamp NAFTA or did he just threaten tariffs and then back off??
BTW, I looked at our deals with Korea; they are dated 2007 & 2012. Our Japan trade deal (USJTA) was renewed Oct 2019, so I guess tRump gets some credit for that.

The USJTA covers about 5% of bilateral trade between the two countries.
Most of our trade with Japan - cars & durable goods - seems to fall under the earlier agreements that also caused Honda & Toyota to build big factories in the US.
