Does it bother you when people don't have political, religious or humanitarian views?

I'm a person that has been through a lot in life and as a consequence I've spent a lot of time trying to focus on the positives. Consequently, I have refrained from discussing such topics. I don't protest and I don't advocate for anything in particular. I live my life and if I donate I do it privately and don't advertise it...

I find people often try to get me to voice my opinions and the only one I've had recently was that I wasn't boycotting eurovision because it was also for unity.
And I stand by that.

Apparently this rubbed some people up the wrong way.

No. What bothers me is when people have views that smell very badly, and then are extremely vocal and hostile if I refuse to believe them.

Neutral people, who are very quiet, are, in fact, very easy to accept. ☺️

No, not at all, it's refreshing. But I think you mean a person who doesn't voice them versus not having any?? I could write a book on things I don't voice or reveal.

I think it is a good sign. I cared a lot too much about politics when I was younger but thankfully I outgrew that. No use paying too much attention to what I can't change anyway, now I help my local community and small circle of acquaintances in a tangible and much appreciated way that everyone enjoys.

@zentic I'm sure they appreciate you for that.
I’ve got loads of opinions on loads of things but I carefully choose which ones I do and do not share. Politics and religion are among the latter. However I do pay some attention to what others have to say on those topics because it gives me some idea of who they are, which I find useful.

@OlderSometimesWiser very clever.

My kinda people, actually.

@Mellowgirl🤔on similar worlds i do not get involved in those sort of hot topics any more as it is not worth the grief and aggrevation it brings all you want on similar worlds is a good time and a laugh
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@smiler2012 I agree. I dip in and out these days. I kinda feel out the loop with a lot of things arguing really doesn't serve me
I'm blackballing you from the Politics Club immediately!!!

Seriously, it sounds like a valid choice to me.

@MistyCee oohhh noo lool.

At work especially o feel it serves no purpose.
Camelia · F
Not at all. Their being pressed isn't your responsibility, so don't let them get to you. 😘
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@Camelia big personalities you know.

I mostly keep these things to myself as well. The times of discussing such things and remaining civil are gone.
I talk politics here, sometimes, but I generally save it for my own countrymen, and those who share my beliefs. There’s no point in getting into an argument that’s unlikely to change minds.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@bijouxbroussard agreed. I don't really understand the American politics nor the views on political parties.
KarenisKenziesmum · 51-55, F
People are entitled to their views. Why should it bother me?

My political views are FREE THE NIPPLE!
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@SW-User 🤔🤔🤔🤔lol
Not at all. It's actually good
Workerbee · 31-35, M
No 🤷🏾‍♂️ not every view has to be shared or lack of one

@Workerbee

That's it in a nutshell.
