It's not about what the voters want but about which party can stack the deck in their favor so their party leadership can rule the United States. With that power they get the keys to the US Treasury which they can raid to pay off their supporters ... and themselves.

I saw him on Huckabee's show. What he said on a few important issues were ..right-on, an old Democrats veiws. He said then how he was being undermined. He is fighting his own party...strange. Blessings to him for holding his ground.

@ShadowWorker The fight between the Kennedys and the Democrat establishment goes back to the 1930s. The JFK- LBJ ticket was about keeping your enemies closer than your friends. Like rival drug cartels cooperating to share the spoils.

Remember in 2016 when Democrats and Republicans both had nuisance candidates they wanted to get rid of, both of whom had a strong base of rank-and-file support? Democrats had Bernie Sanders and the party hierarchy saw to it that he was disposed of. Republicans had Donald Trump but the party hierarchy let the party's voters decide.

@4meAndyou Liz Cheney, Laura Bush, GW Bush - all came out to stab Trump in the back, after he took Jeb's nomination away. The Bush-Cheney cabal wanted a friendly Jeb-vs-Hillary matchup and Trump denied them that. And these are people not used to hearing the word, no.

@graphite Robert Kennedy (Sr) was probably the one most responsible for upending the LBJ administration and paving the way for Nixon to become president. The Kennedy vs Democrat establishment hatred goes back to the 1930s, and many say cost 2 Kennedys their lives.
