Fascism can be hard to define because it's more about being reactionary than it is having a coherent ideology. It's essentially Anti-Leftism even more than it is Conservatism.
If I had to define Fascism in a few words, I would say it's "a reactionary form of Authoritarianism," which is definitely the modern Republican Party.
