Don’t know where I stand.

I plan on taking hormones in November, but I don’t know if my marriage will last scared of the change, and having a hard time accepting 8 years may come to an abrupt end…. I don’t want that it’s why I stopped 2x now because I’m scared of change and cannot afford to live on my own because I depend on ssi, and it’s insurance to survive with my mental health and all, and honestly the only reason I am posting here now is I could really use some new friends and family, that’s all for now, thank you, and hope to hear more soon.

I would strongly recommend you be open and honest in order to give your marriage the best chance of making it through. I've talked to so many trans folks who hid the process at first, and for many of them, the loss of trust killed their marriage.

Every situation is different, I know that what worked for me was giving my partner a voice in all the decision making.

@Strivexwolf I'm sorry to hear that =( it's important that you love yourself first, take care of yourself, and then share your strength & love with the people who want it. The older I get, the more I realize that the most important relationship in our lives is the one we have with ourselves. I don't know what your transition journey has been like \ how long you've been struggling with it, but all I can say is that I wish I'd done this ten or fifteen years ago, no matter how messy it might have been.
