Mum dying in her 50's....

Mum's side of the family not wanting anything to do with me and my family.

That really hurts.

@Alison Thanks Nat. Mum's family was, so I am led to believe, quite a religious/moral family, and what with mum being a hooker...and then me becoming one too (although I never wrote that bit - obviously! - in the letter I sent)...it's understandable.

Hurtful? Yes. I was at that point in my life that I just wanted to learn my roots....and then disowned....but, y'know, they'll have to live with that fact that I tried to reach out and that was there response...

Meanwhile, I'm married to a fantastic woman....having been married to a fantastic man before we split up....I had an older daughter, with 4 granddaughters, and a younger daughter with my wife....and I have a younger sister who has a daughter too...

My wife's family are such amazing and welcoming people....they love me....and I love them.

That makes it a little bit easier.

So...I am ok...

☺️

@SammyJo 🥰🥰🥰🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂Love that ending girl, I really do.

Being trans well has given me a solid hate of religon, I've covered why a bit here at SW, but basically they do not accept thier trans kids and it's fuckin awful😭😭, I talk to these young people a bit and I get sad and angry.

@Alison That's pretty crap, Nat. I think, whatever a person does they are still flesh, blood and family. My eldest daughter and I get on great and all, but there has been times in the past that we have really clashed....that I have been that upset with her....but, down deep, she is still my daughter, y'know?

For all our failings, and our not following the paths that our family wants us to take, that's on them and their agenda...we live our lives through our own eyes....

That old saying 'treat others as you wish to be treated yourself', which is quite a religious one really, I think people lose the true meaning of that sentence. That of 'Put yourself in the other's position and treat them as they wish to be treated' NOT 'look at them from your perspective and treat them nice...'

I guess, from what you say, it's almost like 'not a boy, not a girl' and people just wonder what box to put individuals, like yourself, into.

I have 4 grandchildren; 2 white, 1 black and 1 oriental. My daughter says from time to time she gets odd looks and the children get odd comments just because her and her family don't fit into the correct box....

It's sad.....and I can understand how people can get pissed off with those reactions all the time.

Hugs to you, sweetie...

😘

I think when we come out, if we had a good relationship with someone before, things will stay good.
If it was a struggled one before, "coming out" just aggravates the situation.

That is my experience and seems common for many who have a "lifestyle".
