It's not heroic, it's damn right stupidity.

I honestly think that all those branding people transphobic, for simply having a opinion or view on the contraversy surrounding the community, are simply justifying their grotesque behaviour.

There's is no justification for it, they know it, so they attack anyone who doesn't agree.

Dangerous game to play if they can't see the damage being done and choose to protect those responsible for the atrocities that are going on.

Let me start off by saying that this post is a bit vague on details and so I really went back and forth on even replying because I see you’ve been a bit attacked for an assumed intent without too many people asking any clarifying questions. That’s kind of dangerous imo as it’s difficult to truly know intent until you actually ask. I try to never assume bad intent, as it can sometimes just be poor wording.

Opinions absolutely can be and even sometimes are transphobic and or bigoted but it 💯 depends on what opinion is being voiced and about what. If someone were to say they hate some community (any minority, up to and including trans people,) that is definitely bigoted… but it’s almost impossible for me to discuss your situation without knowing what specific controversy and or grotesque behavior that we are actually talking about and what opinion is being given on it. Could you be a bit more specific about the particular situations you’re talking about?

I try not to assume bad intent on either side but some people are very militant in their views and it can make an actual discussion very difficult and attacking based on assumptions without any clarification has no place in a civil debate. That being said, I don’t agree with racists or bigots and won’t feel bad for arguing against them and their horrible views.

It could be. This is again, just vague enough to not really mean anything. What damage? What atrocities? And protect whom… from what? I would need to know details and what specific opinion is being voiced (like what you are suggesting even be done,) in order to have an opinion myself. I might be 💯in agreement with you if I knew what. My only problem so far with what you’ve said is that all of these bad terms “controversy” “grotesque behavior” “damage” “atrocities” are fitted around someone apparently accusing you or someone else of being a transphobe in your post. I’d like to think everyone would be against those terms especially in regards to children and we don’t really need to bring gender identity and or orientation into the discussion at all. I assure you that there are many sick deviants among straight folk and lots to discuss there… but it doesn’t make all straight people bad (including priests, government officials, bosses, youth organizers.) Anyhow, words are important and I try to be very cautious as to not inadvertently target an already marginalized and victimized group that largely has not asked for any controversy either… and sometimes how something’s said can make a person come off poorly when they actually aren’t bigoted at all. Protecting children is absolutely a big deal to me and I hope it’s just poor wording here. Be safe and be well. 🌸
