i know that its a term non-indigenous americans use broadly and badly.
And that depending upon the tribe it can have varied meanings/definitions.
And that its one of their 5 (?) gender/personality/spirit types .
im not totally clear on it myself as it changes from region to region, and that its not a literal interpretation of their native language word for it.
