Anyway, Gavin Newsom is now under fire for telling Democrats to be more "culturally normal".

@MoveAlong He has previously stated that Democrats are too obsessed with pronouns. And while he supports marriage equality, he has previously taken a very conservative stands to trans athletes in women's events, among other things.

@LordShadowfire I've always considered the pronoun thing a fad among a certain group that became more prevalent as the right railed against it. It was like since they hate it so bad let's pour it on. It seems like it's been on the way out for a while now.

@LordShadowfireA transgender person is a little different. I was speaking more of the them, they and theirs being used as singular. I believe that will pass. It may already have.
