What do the straights mean when they say the LGBT community is forcing themselves on them?

No one is trying to turn you gay. I don’t understand what you’re even talking about to respond.

If you have issues with gay/trans people in media that kids have access to.

1- be a better parent that is more involved

Or

2- don’t allow straight or cis gender people to be out in that media. Either is ALL acceptable or none of it is. Children have same sex and trans parents too. If they can’t be represented, why should yours?

Homosexuality has always existed in nature and there has been animals known to change their sex. So don’t give me the naturalist argument, because that’s not going to be in your favor.

The simple fact about all of this, no matter what their rationalizations are, is they are uncomfortable with it and they are trying to turn their disgust into science and rational arguments and concern for children (as if heterosexuality is somehow less sexually-charged than homosexuality; heterosexual sexuality is all over the media), but what it really is is that it bothers them and they want it to go away.

I see many of them are referencing trans people more than homosexuals and that's partly because the battle against homosexuality has largely been lost in much of the West. Homosexuality is here to stay and gay people will be treated like anyone else in society. Trans issues are still up in the air, especially when it comes to transitioning (which, I would agree, is not a decision a child can make) and recognizing someone's new gender (an additional demand on the public that isn't there for homosexuality). Trans issues present a new front for opposition, and are, objectively, a bit more complicated than homosexuality. But it isn't hard to treat people the way you want to be treated. 🤷‍♂️
