Do you think crossdressing is a lot of being an alcoholic?

Let me explain. Both do the following:

1) Destroys Families
2) Very Expensive
3) Addictive
4) Escape the Stresses of Life
5) Can become problematic.
6) Coping Mechanism
7) Both enslave you.

You don't think I'm not fighting a battle in my mind. Yeah, sometimes I find it hard not to reach for that bottle. Whiskey was my drink of choice, and I had to pick and choose the battle. If it weren't for my great wife and family, I know my life would truly be in hell.

There are definite parallels. Having grown up in a family where alcoholism was a real issue, I believe it is far more destructive than crossdressing.

Crossdressing did destroy a friends marriage of 22 years.

That's part on him, because he never trusted her enough to tell her from the start. As the relationship grew and age. His wife found his stash and he was caught in lies.

My wife caught me before we we're even dating, we didn't Even know each other.
