Gaining confidence

I am starting to get more comfortable shopping for women’s clothes in public I got my first underwire bra today I should have done it sooner but oh well sometimes nerves get the best of me I almost abandoned the shopping cart when a cashier walked up beside me while I was in self checkout lol. Thank you all for sharing your stories it really helps some of us stop being scared to live the life we want

Fear can be crippling. I don't care what anyone says, we do worry about what other people think.

@Musicman yes we do fear controls us more than we realize, i finally realized though why miss out on the life I want because someone else might not like it

@Trappedinthewrongbody Exactly! If it bothers you that much drive to another town close by and shop there where no one knows you.

@Musicman that’s what I’ve started doing eventually I’ll be comfortable enough to shop anywhere hopefully

@Trappedinthewrongbody Is this something you are just starting or have you been doing it for a while?

@Musicman so I’ve known since I was 11 or 12 that I was much happier in women’s clothes but my parents were very religious so I buried those urges for a long time and one day it just clicked why I was so miserable all the time. But yes I just recently started buying women’s clothes

@Trappedinthewrongbody Did you move out before you dressed? Do they know about it?
Trappedinthewrongbody · 26-30, T
@Musicman I sneakily dressed a few times during my early teenage years, as far as I know they don’t know. Yes I had my first apart close to a year before I bought my first bra. I really want to tell my mom so we can go shopping together and get our makeup done but I’m scared of her not accepting me

@Trappedinthewrongbody I definitely understand that. That is a huge concern and fear. Before we retired and moved the boy nextdoor came out. I say boy, but he was in his late 20's. His wife divorced him and he had to move home. His parents were not supportive at all, but they did help him out.

@Musicman oh I hate that for him I know he was going through so many emotions
