Softy1 The problem is, our administrators in their infinite wisdom 🙄, have decided to use AI instead of it using their own eyes to look at things, and are engaging in what I call lazy moderating. Instead of reviewing reports of hate speech, they implement a forcible block where you can't interact with the person.
When they first implemented this unfair and patronizing policy, you could unblock the person right after, but now they force you to keep them blocked for a month.
I hate blocking people, as I've made very clear, but more than that, I hate when someone who is probably about half my age tries to tell me how to live my life. But more than that, when an administrator like @
Andrew looks at a report of blatant hate speech, and his instinctive reaction is to say "Oh, just ignore that person if you don't like what they're saying," that tells me he approves of it. That tells me he approves of the racist garbage spewed by certain users I won't name, and it tells me he definitely approves of the transphobic garbage spewed by @missyann.
Because if he took those reports seriously, he wouldn't talk to me like I'm 5 years old.
