First time as Mika going to my 20th high school reunion was challenging

First time as Mika going to my 20th high school reunion was challenging and decided to face it. I did not want to go at first and then changed my mind going. I went and it was interesting how everyone reacted. Lot of my female classmates asked about my transition some knew I was struggling inside at first struggling and saw I was finally happy. They took me in as one of the girls right away. Some of the teachers I had called me Mika seeing I changed. One remembered me holding something in and was glad it came out now happy as my true self. One school counselor I remembered, it took her a second to realize it was me and seen I was much happier. I remember her telling me that bottling things up makes things worse and told her she was right. My male classmates, some took it well with them being cool about it and some learned to coming to terms one step at a time that I was never like them, Now it is great with the ones that learned to coming to terms realizing I am finally happy in my life.

It seems like it went well. I'm sure it was a challenge for you.
Lots of emotions happening there for sure. Keep in mind most people live inside their own heads and don't really care what other people do. Kudos for going, very brave.
