Population of the UK: 67.0 million.
Population of the USA: 340.7 million.

Add to the fact that even EP was started in the USA, not to mention SW.

Now I ask what major web sites where started in the UK? 🤔

I don't know of any that are world wide. 🤷🏻‍♂️

FB, Instagram, Twitter, Google YouTube, Yahoo, Reddit, all are USA started. Even defunked Usenet and Myspace was USA started.

Why doesn't the UK have at least one world wide social media site? 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

Must note. I know China has one social media site. Though it's not really worldwide.

This is the last SW country demographics posted by Andrew over a year ago.

@SandWitch it's highly relevant because EVERY, SINGLE, WEBSITE that I mentioned has pretty much the same statistics on their demographics!

The web is a USA addiction! It's pretty much why the USA has a huge social problem.

Even China is attempting to have their people cut back on the Internet! And it's not as huge a social problem in China.

There's 8.1 billion people in this world. The vast majority don't even have a computer much less a cellphone!

Yet more than 50% of the users on :

[quote]FB, Instagram, Twitter, Google YouTube, Yahoo, Reddit, all are USA started. Even defunked Usenet and Myspace was USA started.

were, are or have been from the USA!

Even I, a true computer nerd, attempt to limit my time on the Internet!

Between 2001 and 2006 I forced myself to stay away from it! I started in computers in 1976 and the Internet in 1980. RPG II programming was submitted via the Internet in Wyoming because the main frame computer was 45 miles away. It was called ARPANET then! The start of the Internet.

The vast majority of the world never heard of the Internet until the 1990s! Including the UK! I never even heard of any internet users until the early 1990s. Portugal BTW!

Yet now you can't even go anywhere without seeing little seven year old kids on cellphones here in the USA!

340.7 million is, for practical purposes, quite literal!

Are all your kids in the UK on cellphones, either playing some sort of Internet game or listening to Internet music? That's not to mention social media and the bullying that goes on there with kids in the USA. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Internet dispite the "www." addition IS predominantly used by USA residents.

BTW for the most part you no longer even use www. Just like in the Internet's very beginning in the USA. It's useless now or better called "downgraded". Like ftp:// is no longer supported in all browsers.

It's only https:// that is supported. They change it when the security protocols where changed a number of years ago. The "s" in https.

@SandWitch your not getting it! Your talking servers and I'm talking MAJOR websites.

Where are your UK MAJOR world wide WEBSITES the ones with the 340 million users or more! The sites themselves are all started in the USA!

Look at iObix! A predominantly Spanish website owned by the current owners of this USA owned social media website!

They as well OWN another domain!

@SandWitch the rules (TOS) are made up BY THE OWNERS!

That's the biggest issue with Twitter now called X.

@SandWitch it's a owner issue even in CHINA! The Internet is RUN by China in China! All corporations in China are run by China!

How do think they can ban all the websites I have listed? 🤷🏻‍♂️

@SandWitch we are talking about the whole world! You think no other countries do exactly the same thing?

Ok try the EU on music websites!

@SandWitch I have yet to see you mentioned ONE solely owned major world wide website with more than one 100 million users much less 340 million users. I'm talking the website not the servers! Which could be in international waters but just doesn't exist!

@SandWitch no, you don't get it! The answer to your very own question is in the answer to my question!

@SandWitch now what question are you asking? Not INFERENCES!

Please remember my initial comment was to the OP!

So my initial comment was solely to the OP who I thought you were!

Your initial reply to me was not one day ago! Only 3 hours ago.

@SandWitch how do you know what they mean?

They haven't responded to anyone on their own post!

And again what was YOUR question?

The one that YOU said you repeated FOUR times! Your question, not the OPs question!

Quote yourself if you have to!

My response is not being debated by anyone but YOU! Not by even the OP, who has probably seen my response! And has said no such thing about my response!

You are arguing just to argue!

@SandWitch your replies TO ME are not even needed.

The OP can make their own replies without your trolling!

If you know so much and can mind read others, then make your own COMMENT to the OP!

I see you haven't even attempted!
