Parents Furious Over Math Teacher’s Use of Threats and Coercion to Make Students Watch “LGBT” Video

A controversy is stirring at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California, after parents raised concerns over a math teacher’s reported use of threats and coercion to force students to watch a video about LGBTQ+ Pride.

The incident reportedly occurred during a regular math class when the teacher played a Bolt TV episode that featured a video promoting LGBTQ+ Pride, according to R-let Vaz, whose daughter Ivory was one of the students and who recorded the incident.

The video was part of a routine broadcast by Bolt TV, the school’s student-produced and administration-approved channel.

However, the student’s reaction was far from uniform, as most students found the video very uncomfortable.

One student can be heard saying, “Why are you showing this to kids?”

The math teacher responded by criticizing the students for what she considered “inappropriate” behavior. The teacher insisted that the students watch the content or she would give them a Saturday school.

“I’ll warn you guys now. If you’re going to be inappropriate, I will have supervision down and give all of you a Saturday school for next year. So knock it off,” the math teacher said.

With all the controversy nation wide over this very thing, one has to wonder - how stupid is that math teacher?

Oh, and kudos to the kid that questioned it.

@MaBalzEsHari it's kind of funny to watch you dance and scream and holler and yell. It's so easy.

[big]IT IS Maths....where you should learn about numbers, counting and such stuff not getting preached at to follow a shit narrative and agenda!.

Good that the parents are standing up but children should have talked back and or walked out the freaking classroom!

The "education" system sucks big time.[/big]

im not surprised. This is happening more and more and we are constantly told its not happening despite evidence everywhere.
Its insane and I hope that teacher and others who do this get fired. Students clearly did not like this and was forced on them, so hopefully students and parents take more of a stand against this nonsense and it gets to the point this shit will not be tolerated in the slightest anymore

I wonder if there's a story from inside the classroom that was going on beforehand? Like in hard bullying of students towards a gay class mate. Of course, I wonder if it's needed in a math's class but from my own personal experience it's always better not to bully anyone

@Budwick You could have hearted my repondse too btw. Glad that I made the point that bullying someone is indeed wrong

Yeah, I suppose, but you were pretty anxious to find reason to blame the students somehow - and it was the TEACHER being the bully. So, no heart for you!

@Budwick Oh, I see. You want to prove my point. Thank you!
just tryin to figure out how any of that stuff has anything to do with math. LOL

If true, this teacher should be teaching math. Nothing else. If true and he forced and coerced his students, he should be terminated.
Some parents if true, need to claim
Their children were psychologically harmed, as evidenced by a student questioning the teacher’s actions. Bring on the ambulance chasers…mental abuse and distress to student(s).

Not the math teacher's "fault".

And if indeed the rights of LGBTQ* people are "controversial nation-wide" that is exactly why videos like this are needed.

@ServantOfTheGoddess wouldn't if they did.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@ServantOfTheGoddess
What are the threats and coercion mentioned in your source?
I'm sorry, I thought printing it in bold letters would be enough in my previous response. Pay attention - here it comes again -

Typically of what there doing
I watched a video in college about a little boy who liked girl things. It was enlightening. And the parents were very supportive. I didn't mind at all. It's just people.
