Sure they do sexuality is part of everyones identity but you don't notice it because like you mentioned straight is a majority and as such created norms that are being followed that are heteronormative therefore are an expression of heterosexuality. You simply don’t view it as such.

@Torsten You remind me of a child who asks, if there is a Mother's Day and a Father's Day, why isn't there a Kid's Day? The answer is that every other day is "kid's day." There's no "straight pride month" because straight peoples' existence is taken for granted, and until relatively recently, gay people had to be careful that no one knew their true orientation. Even today it's dangerous to come out as gay in some communities.

When everyone is automatically assumed to be gay and straight people have to pretend to be gay to get along, you can have your straight pride month. Until then, stop being such a crybaby.

Be honest, do people you work with know you're straight? Or if they were asked, they could honestly say that they have no idea if you're gay or straight because you keep your personal life secret? Because if they know you're straight, you're not keeping your shit to yourself.

outside of my actual mates i work with yeah, no one has any clue about my personal life except for that i am a father and that is only cause my son has come out a few times before.

@Torsten I'm sure not all of your co-workers are that reserved. Surely some of them have photos of their partners on their desk, or bring them to company gatherings, or at least talk about them. Do you tell the straight ones to stop shoving their sexual orientation down your throat when they do this, or you reserve this only for your gay co-workers?

@Torsten You work in an unusual office. Where I work, people know about each others' husbands, wives, and partners. I guess you guys come in just to work and only discuss sports. So you're telling me that you have no idea if any of your co-workers are gay, straight, or trans? Or you just assume they're all straight?
