So I was telling my mom i age regress and she kept telling me I was wrong and it was a bad idea.

Parents (well, people, I guess...) tend to react negatively to things they don't understand - or things they think they understand, but really don't. When you're ready to open up again, try talking to her again about it and see if she understands what you mean.
Alternately, if you don't feel comfortable taking any time soon (and that's understandable), try to find one website that encapsulates things well and send her the link via text or email. Then give her time to read it and digest it all. Ideally, she comes to you to talk.
