Anything other than being straight is a joke
666Maggotz · F
@Stargazer89 the real joke is wasting your existence caring about other peoples sex life or gender identity
@666Maggotz it's against the Bible which IS the word of God
666Maggotz · F
@Stargazer89 The “Bible” means nothing in logical arguments.
SW-User
@Stargazer89 The bible is the word of man.

@666Maggotz are people allowed to hold the view that there are 2 genders and you cant change your gender? And can they vocalise this?
666Maggotz · F
@gol979 You can do anything you want. Just keep in mind if you choose to vocalize those opinions, you’re opening yourself up to criticism.

@Stargazer89 You must be fun at parties
gol979 · 41-45, M
@666Maggotz so if someone opines what has been the norm forever (anthropologically speaking) they face criticism.....dont you find that, at best, odd?
666Maggotz · F
@gol979 Nope. Change is natural. It’s called progress. That’s how all civilizations that last through history behave.
666Maggotz · F
@gol979 Also, mind you, you are in my parents age range. My parents have your views. You can’t argue this point with someone who existed in a time that gays were always accepted.
gol979 · 41-45, M
@666Maggotz course you can debate the point....i know theres a drive from certain aspects/biases to try and make gender norms "unthinkable" or "bigoted" but saying that theres only 2 genders and you cant change is neither of those.

This is the issue imo......the vast majority dont really care how people want to characterise themselves but when this ideology is being rammed down peoples throat and having any other thought to "gender is fluid" is deemed a thought crime and shouldnt be spoken then theres a massive problem. Its not progress to enforce this way of thinking.
666Maggotz · F
@gol979 I’m not really sure what kind of life you’re living and what you’re exposed to, but I have had nothing rammed down my throat.
gol979 · 41-45, M
@666Maggotz children at school are being put on "radical lists" and facing other punishment for saying there are only 2 genders. You get called a "terf" or bigot for saying this. Yourself even said you shouldnt say these things out loud or you will get criticism. If you cant see the problem with this, even outside of the gender paradigm, then expect more mono-meta opinions and genuine thoughtcrime
666Maggotz · F
@gol979 I have younger siblings still in school, I can assure you, that is not a thing. I think what I said applied to everything, it falls under the umbrella of free speech. People are allowed to verbalize their disagreement with your views.
Belladonna · 41-45, F
@Stargazer89 🤣 "God". You're against the word of "God". XD
gol979 · 41-45, M
@666Maggotz that is happening. A friends kid has been put on a "radical list" for stating there are 2 genders. I hope you can see the problem with this, even if you disagree with that statement.
666Maggotz · F
@gol979 even if that is the case in some very rare situations, that’s not an excuse to discriminate against a whole group of people. Most people are normal and just want to live in peace. Stop using radical cases against otherwise sane people.
gol979 · 41-45, M
@666Maggotz so we can discriminate against children who say there are only 2 genders by putting them on lists? Surely you dont agree with that, even if you disagree with the statement?

been the norm forever (anthropologically speaking)

That would be untrue. There have always been third genders, non binary and trans genders in many different cultures.
The norms you speak of have been established mainly through the spread of christianity or Islam, and like you know that didn’t happen peacefully. We wouldn’t have this debate had native american culture become the dominant one.
gol979 · 41-45, M
@Gloomy the norm but not exclusive. To try and rewrite known knowns so it suits your bias is full on. If you are saying that it was the accepted consensus that male and female could change gender by thought alone and is literal rather than metaphors then i would hazard a guess you have a misunderstanding.

If so......how did this gender ideology manifest in ancient cultures. Im pretty sure it didnt involve puberty blockers and removing/adding parts of bodies. And if its all in the mind back then, why the need for any body altering substance or surgery now?

This discussion fails already given you don't seem to understand the difference between sex and gender.
Gender is an identity and social construct that can be changed without surgeries.
Yes in these cultures it was and is accepted.

gender ideology

It wasn't and still isn't some omnious gender ideology.
It manifested itself mainly through gender expression, clothing, acknowledgment from others,....

Because they had no idea that would even be possible without dying maybe? Different cultural and religious views on what the body even is...
gol979 · 41-45, M
@Gloomy "acknowledgment from others". A sentence that encapsulates the (for want of a better word) woke side of gender. What happens if people dont want to acknowledge, without contempt, that a man can change to a female or vise versa?
Sharon · F
@Stargazer89 The bible is just a collection of myths and superstitions.
