Like all other mammals, there are two human sexes. That is how the species continues. Trying to ascribe biological sources of psychological conditions is socially counterproductive.

Now you can call me names and tell me I'm dangerous.
@LeeInTheNorthWoods Nobody asked about the sexes. The question was about gender. Do you understand the difference?
@LordShadowfire
Of course they do. Hence the very thoughtful way of going around the topic without replying on it and at the same time calling the victim card up front.
@LeeInTheNorthWoods Actually, all mammalian species have the exact same problems with mutations of genes within the XX and XY chromosomes.

I was a breeder and trainer of Arabian horses over the last 20 or so years (ceased breeding 3 years ago).
One of the first things I learned about buying a young stallion or mare for breeding was to get an experienced equine vet to check for sex traits and fertility.
All breeders of mammals do this, including professional pet breeders and zoos.

There's no point buying an expensive animal for breeding,
(no matter how brilliant it's athletic and working performance, how intelligent, how beautiful or how closely it fits it's breed standard)
if it can't breed at all or will have problems with breeding.

@LordShadowfire Oh please. Do I understand the difference? For centuries the words "gender" and "sex" were interchangeable (synonyms). Playing semantic games doesn't change scientific facts. I've bred cows, goats, and horses all my life. Yes, I understand.

@LeeInTheNorthWoods Gender and Sex are two different things. Stop confusing biological sexes with psychological genders that deals with roles and identity.

Nope.

@hartfire Respectfully, I've bred Quarter Horses, three different breeds of cattle, and goats. The genetic abnormalities caused by reckless interbreeding are not in any way similar to homo sapiens deciding they are the opposite sex than the "gender" represented by their genetic make-up and body parts. (If I castrate a bull, I get a steer, not a heifer.) The tiny percentage of people who have genetic abnormalities affecting their sex definition and sex organs has nothing to do with drag queen story hours. My thoughts anyway.
@LeeInTheNorthWoods Respectfully, just because you breed horses, that doesn't change the fact that you know fuck-all about human beings.

Get back to me after you've looked at the links I provided.

@LeeInTheNorthWoods Are you some traditional Christian that believes in BS gender roles like "Girls" should wear pink and play with dolls and hair and "boys" should wear blue and play with trucks and guns?
LeeInTheNorthWoods · 70-79, F
@LordShadowfire Yes, that's a highly scientific discussion. Try reading more than a paragraph about genetics. Then get back to me.

@Peaceandnamaste A very thoughtful response.

@Peaceandnamaste I ran a business most of my adult life with more than 40 employees, all but two were male. Dealt with a lot of machinery -- started out with analog and ended up with mostly digital. I had customers in four different countries. How about you, princess? Maybe if you had more life experiences you wouldn't be so gullible and less condescending. The world isn't composed of stereotypes, unless you live in a world of stenotypes yourself.
@LeeInTheNorthWoods I can't help but notice you refuse to acknowledge or discuss the articles I shared. Do they scare you? Are you afraid to have a discussion based on actual scientific consensus?
LeeInTheNorthWoods · 70-79, F
@LordShadowfire Do you think those are scientifically sound articles written by adults who've studied genetics?
