for or against gay marriage?

personally, I am in support of it.
I honestly dont get why anyone cares enough to be against it and act as if marriage is only right if its between a man and women.
With last i heard the divorce rate being close to 70% of marriages now, Straight people have done a good job ruining marriages on their own.
If gay people wanna be miserable like the rest of those married, who is anyone to deny them that?

Marriage is between a man and a woman. If two gay people want to be married, then they need to come up with their own word that they can be joined together in. Civil union is fine. So if two gay people want to be together in the context of marriage that's fine. Don't butcher the meaning of the word.

His opinion is incorrect? Do you understand the word “opinion?” @CaptainKirk

@MrAboo Marriage just like words are human conventions. Also there's no such thing as "butchering the meaning of words", if language was immutable you should speak either ancient Latin or Anglo-Saxon right now, therefore your point is moot until you formulate it in any of these two languages.

@Elessar marriage is between a man and a woman. If you have a problem with that then that’s your problem not mine.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@MrAboo Who says? There's no such thing as "marriage" in nature, it's a purely invented human concept.
MrAboo · 36-40, M
@Elessar some species of animals pair off and mate for life. If that’s not marriage in the animal kingdom to you then you got a problem. Marriage is not a human concept in this light. The word may be, but it did come from the Bible. The Bible is real and so is God.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@MrAboo Which species of animals do you know of that exchange rings and makes vows in front of an altar?

Yeah, about as real as Lord Sauron. You can wear as many rings as you want, and even come here and cast it into the Vesuvius if you think that'll make you feel any better about yourself.
MrAboo · 36-40, M
@Elessar I implied it was the equivalent.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@MrAboo So you're essentially saying that it's a non-requirement; since animals don't exchange rings, a marriage would still be a marriage without rings exchange. Good, now apply the very same principle to gender roles.
