Understanding my Ignorance

Broke back mountain has been used as a joke at the expense of gay men like so many other things. I know I’ve used it in that way out of ignorance, I only just now watched it today for the first time so any comment I made before was meant to pick on someone, jokingly as it may have been, so they would have to defend their “manhood”. What an idiot I was.

The movie was really good, and sad, and has given me a deeper understanding of the history of gay men. And also helped me feel more accepting of my sexuality and how I’ve expressed it throughout my life.
