How do you deal with homophobia?

The reason I ask is from a personal experience I had recently on line. Some guy sent me a message saying he would like to kill me because he thought I was gay and praised to Orlando criminal. This is positively shocking and I was quite intimated by it, even though I know there is no way he could find me as what he contacted me on is a strictly private and anonymous site, I used a fake name.

It's sad. The most aggressive homophobic tends to be suffering from internalized homophobia which makes them both an attacker as a victim on the same time. I hope they sooner than later will accomplish to get in sync with their own sexuality. I deal in various ways with homophobia. However, as goes for death threats online on an anonymous site, I can only relate to this site where I had two death threats this far. I've reported the incidents to admins and both users have been banned by now, it took a little longer with one of them but he continued his aggressive behavior towards women and was banned too eventually.
