Is being trans a mental illness?

Is being a transsexual and or transgender a mental illness? Discuss.

(Disclosure): I mean mental illness in the same sense as any mental illness such as ADD, ADHD, OCD, all the way to schizophrenia. I’m not using the term mental illness as in a brainless nut job.

No. I just think trans people have this exxagerrated idea of what it means to be the gender they transitioned to. I think it's just an extreme envy for a role that really is overrated. What really sucks is so many "Dysphoric" People are suddenly dysphoric no longer when they put on a pretty skirt or wear something pertaining to the opposite gender.
