Love is more important than belief.

@canusernamebemyusername youre most likely confusing love with "lust"

@MartinTheFirst No I'm not. Gay and bi are in love not in lust. At least no more than straight people.

@canusernamebemyusername what you are attracted to has to do with lust.

Love is a social thing not a sexual thing.
@MartinTheFirst Attraction isnt lust. I can be attracted to art or food. Doesn't mean I have sex with it. And who cares if it is. No one is being hurt anyway. About like someone coming between you and your partner. It is none of their business.

@canusernamebemyusername No but it surely is Danie's business and it's in her own interest to make the right decision. Thinking "me first!" isn't always the best decision, and in this case using "love" as an excuse is just blinding yourself from the truth that you never really cared about religion to begin with.
@MartinTheFirst Love is not an excuse but should be the highest law. That is not thinking me first. As you said love is social. If any religion fails to create and protect love then it should be changed or abolished. I fact the Bible says that God IS love. So there really is no higher law whether secular or Christian.

@canusernamebemyusername However what you're advocating, repeating myself, is not Love but Lust. You can love someone without getting sexual with them. And this non-sexual love between the same sex is something that is taught in the Bible. Love everyone, it says.
By that measure all sex should be prohibited. Even straight sex. As that would be lust. The Bible says that it is better to remain celibate but that it is better to take a spouse than to burn with passion. So lust is allowed under marriage.

@canusernamebemyusername No, since there is such a thing called procreation, and this is the reason for why sex even is a thing. The fact we enjoy it is secondary.
@MartinTheFirst That is only one purpose for sex. The Bible mentions sex is for pleasure as well. The whole Song of Solomon never mentions procreation.
Nor does the Bible say it is only for procreation.
