@MarmeeMarch So my bisexual friend who is a guy. And almost 60 years old
Has been “masking” his homosexuality for 40 years
even tho he has dated guys and girls. Even tho he kisses his boyfriend in public.
Is “masking” his homosexuality?
Why would he do that?

@JesseMccC When I say "mask" I dont mean hide. Masking homosexuality is just what I term the reluctance to say you are homosexual - by calling yourself BI you are not committing to one side or another. And you play it safe - in your mind you are homosexual but claim to be BI so you are not pigeon holed into one group. You all know what it is - I am not the bad guy here and I am not degrading homosexuality or heterosexually at all I am just calling it the way I see it.. BI is political correctness gone wild. Why can't people just be what they feel and not have to create another term for it.

I came out as gay once actually
I dated a guy.
Then after he broke up with me.
I fell in love with a girl.
Then I had to tell my parents ,that I had already told I was gay, that now I was dating a girl
It’s just too confusing for me to keep swapping sides like that.
It’s mentally damaging and makes me really depressed.
It’s so much easier for bi people like me to come out as bi

Bisexuality pretty much explains itself: You're sexually attracted to males and females, and you actually have and enjoy sex with both men and women. When this goes on past adolesencent years into adulthood it becomes part of your identity.

It doesn't change, and there's no more "confusion" than there is in the ups and downs of most heterosexual relationships.

What makes us differnt is that when I see a good looking man or woman I might wanna have a relationship with them or maybe have sex with them . You don’t
