This question is only for the LGBTQ+ community. How did you guys/girls come out to your family?

I have been searching for help for ages. I have already told my mother but I don't think she believes me or just doesn't care. As for my father I know he will be very close minded about this stuff so I didn't bother telling him yet. But now I just want to make my move and get it over with and finally achieve happiness

@Straylight My father I don't think will accept it. My mother would be the key to doing this as she seems more accepting in nature. And with time she could bring my father around...I just don't wanna risk destroying my family

@ShatteredHeart The first thing you need to understand is that it wouldn't be you tearing your family apart, but his in a inability to accept all of you.
