Keeping secrets is never good. Especially if you have to pretend to be somebody you're not as a result. It'll just make you miserable.

I think, if it were me, i'd tell those i loved what was on my mind.
No guarantees of course. But if they love you they'll think on it and might just surprise you with how accepting they might be.
