These days it's only the ignorant, the closeted and the religious fundamentalists who seem to have a problem with gay people.

I was challenging your assertion that there is not now, nor was there ever homophobia.
I attempted to identify a possible reason why you would make this claim.
Since this was apparently in error the appropriate response is to clarify your position so the conversation can move forward.
