Sooo, Doctors in the UK are going to be asking people their sexuality

I thought at first this was something maybe made up by The Daily Mail, but no it's true, don't think in reality it would happen so much, but have seen alot of doctors on tv advocating this, my response to this is the same when I see it on a job application, I'm applying for a job/ seeing a DR, I haven't joined a dating agency so f**k off

well what is their reasoning?

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit It's PC gone too far, so they won't offend trans people, but it's okay to offend me by questioning my sexuality.

@Carissimi They said that? Because what a person calls themselves is different than what they were born with which a doctor would need to know, and I even thought it may be to do with things such as STDs. It seems like so many are ready for it to mean something mean. I sort of think medical staff have more important worries than bothering someone about something they think is useless info ya know?

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit I know the BMA told gynecologists not to use the word "mother," so as not to offend trans. It's gone beyond absurd.

@Carissimi yes that sounds silly
