I just had a scammer text me

Claiming they were some chick named Mia who I knew once. Jokes on you I haven’t talked to any woman in ages because no one wants to talk to me. Trying to catfish me doesn’t work simply because of how alone I am. Damn thats sad.

I do not know how the scammers who do that even make money because the web is saturated with them nowadays.

I do not know which is more plentiful - panhandlers or online scammers. They can't ALL be making bank.

@Captainjackass I do not know how, I mean surely everyone knows about them.

I can understand if someone's bank account or whatever got hacked without someone having any clue how it happened. Like when someone's bank account got drained even though they hadn't clicked on any str4nge email links or sent money to someone working on an oil rig.

As far as people falling for romance scams, IRS calls, failed package delivery texts, Nigerian Prince, extortion emails (like when they claim to have videos of someone "enjoying" adult material) etc, wouldn't most people know about those by now?

I get plenty of scammers and catfish sending me complete BS, I do not respond.

@HoeBag thats why they target older people and people who don’t see much of the modern world. They just send out so much crap that a small percentage is bound to be fooled by it.
