We can solve problems of mass shootings and school shootings! Just implementing some smart ideas!

There were 632 mass shootings in the USA 2023, There was 1 in UK.

1. A wait period and background check before every gun purchase.
2. Guns sold at police stations only.
3. Age 21, like the drinking age.
4. A physical exam
5. Abolish assault weapons.

Mass shootings are problems? It is our American way of life. War is America's business, and we have been spending trillions of dollars on mass shootings by our military in foreign wars killing millions and millions of people. Our war culture is cultivated in our schools through violent competitive sports. Our politicians in Congress are warmongers voting on bills to fund production of weapons made by military contractors in practically every state in the nation.

@sree251 Which is why if Trump is re-elected this year the USA is doomed as the war mongering will amp up 10x or more.

@sree251 you can move to cuba

@sree251 I guess we Australians value the lives of other people, even those we disagree with, more than Americans do..😷
sree251 · 41-45, M
@zonavar68 Trump is a businessman. War wrecks businesses outside the military industrial complex. War destroys international trade, and Trump wants to make deals for the country. He will make America great, and everyone will have jobs, jobs, jobs.

@sree251 The military armaments business is Americas major export earner these days.. If peace breaks out global America suffers..😷
sree251 · 41-45, M
@whowasthatmaskedman Americans value lives too but we are all cattle herded by our respective warfighting governments. You guys had a great trade relationship with China. Now, China is viewed as an enemy by Australia. Is that dumb or what?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sree251 Someone obviously seems to be reading from the wrong playsheet. Australia still has an excellent trade relationship with China. The recent unpleasantness was a creation of our conservative government, which is gone. China does tend to combine, trade with other aspects of foreign policy to push its view point. So telling them how to police their internal affairs draws a reaction. 😷

@whowasthatmaskedman I wouldn't say arm export is a major money earner. Total US export volume is $2.1 trillion. Arms export rose to a peak of $238 billion in 2023.

@whowasthatmaskedman You guys still have that nuclear submarine? What is it for?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sree251 And you dont consider 10% of your nations GNP to be major, especially considering hw much employment, the global market and the value added componemt compared to say grain or oil??😷
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sree251 Not for at least a decade we dont.. And that was to allow us to reach anything useful. Diesel subs are useless with the distances we need to cover to reach anyone who just could be a threat. And those subs were requested to help America keep watch on the south China Sea. A place America doesnt really belong and wont be risking carrier groups in soon.. "You're Welcome"😷
sree251 · 41-45, M
@whowasthatmaskedman You said: "And you dont consider 10% of your nations GNP to be major,"

Look, I consider our nation's foreign policy has been on the wrong track since forever. We were supposed to be the world policeman guarding the peace, not the neighborhood thug beating everybody up in the defense of so-called democracy that doesn't exist even in America. We are the bad guy, no doubts about that. Why is Australia not standing up for herself instead of being part of the US gang wrecking the world?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sree251 A decade of conservative government is your answer. In the end they decided it was good to go "Trump Lite" and got kicked to the kerb in an election. We still have catching up to do after a decade of no progress,.😷
sree251 · 41-45, M
@whowasthatmaskedman I have met Australians in my travels through Asia. They came across as pretty independent minded guys, like Crocodile Dundee, who think like real men. We Americans have gone soft in the head. No John Waynes anymore. It seems to me that the disease killing us men off here seems to have spread to Canada, Australia, and New Zealand also. Are you married? Is your wife a woman?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sree251 The problem with many Americans is they think of themselves as John Waynes. Interesting point. John Wayne never served in the military in reality and was lookd down on by many who did..😷

@sree251 Yes mass shootings are a big problem in America. It is creating fear in all children that they might get killed in school tomorrow! The fear in kids causes chronic stress and mental illness for life. One traumatic incident for a child in the womb or early childhood has proven in research that their brains stop growing for 12-18 years (their brains are smaller) and can cause schitsophrenia later in their 20's

Donald J. Trump never served in the military either and his dad Fred Trump bought Donald's way out of the Vietnam war draft a total of 5 times, yet Trump isn't looked down upon by the right-wing war mongers for avoiding military service!
Patriot96 · 56-60, C
@swirlie fjb never served because he supposedly had asthma. Despite playing baseball and football. Your point is?

@Patriot96
I've already made my point. Did you not read my post?
