@TexChik I know - was being hypothetical. Here in Australia we do not need god or guns to be safe in our homes or on the streets. There have been fewer mass shootings here in the last 200 years than in the last 2 years in the USA (even factoring for the USA having 10x the population so a much higher likelihood of encountering some idiot with a gun).

@TexChik We've never needed guns to be safe here. The Covid bullshit was bad in a lot of ways everywhere not just here. Guns are lawful if you have a legit need - like primary producers, most types of law enforcement, military, licensed hunters, etc. but since the Pt Arthur massacre (which was the last mass shooting here and really the only one for about 100 years at least) the federal government took positive action. I've never held a gun, or wanted to hold or fire one. Everyone knows that law enforcement and military do NOT act for the people but instead they act for the government and sovereign interests. That's the same here as in the USA.
