Think about how many school shootings there have been....... Now, think about how many shootings there have been at gun shows.

It seems to be a popular myth that gun show purchases are not done to the same standard as if they were in a gun shop. That is not true. But what can happen, that is not illegal, is the person-to-person (outside the show) transactions. However, the gun is registered to someone and an investigation would lead to who bought it. Most crimes are committed with stolen guns, not gun show guns.

The reason there are no shootings at gun shows...is because more than half the people there are strapped! And the vast majority of people there are law-abiding citizens...unlike our Washington libs.

It seems to me that mass shooters either 1) shoot up their workplace or school (or former workplace), or 2) are attention seekers who want the biggest public reaction. Schools fit in both categories. Concerts, supermarkets, and movie theaters fit in with category #2. A gun show? I don't think you would get the same public reaction there.

Terrorists with bombs have the same mindset. They want to cause the biggest chaos - so instead of targeting military, they target civilians. It's not because the military has weapons to fight back - they don't care about that. They want the biggest effect. McVeigh. 9/11. Hamas.

Arm teachers or put armed security at each school and I don't think there would be fewer school shootings because they are still going for the maximum public outrage. What you hope for there is that the shooter can be subdued before too much damage. Unfortunately, if the shooter has the right weapon, they can easily kill a dozen before they are taken out.

Remember, these shooters expect to die and arent thinking about getting away with anything, so I don't think it matters whether your victims are armed. A trained shooter with the right weapon could easily kill a dozen at a gun show before anyone has a chance to react. But that doesn't create the same shock value as shooting kids.

Teachers need a panic button already

Look up info on gun rallies.

And the venues and not trashed when the gun supporters leave.

It sounds cliche, because of mental illness I’m taking. As a former bullied child, I can see why a school would be the perfect spot. All the people you hate are in the same place.

For everyone trying to make this out what we need to do about preventing mass shootings. This is more about gun’s needing not to be banned. There has not been a mass shooting at a gun show. I think because there are so many guns and the mass shooter would be taken out quickly! Instead they happen at places where the people are less likely to be armed . That’s what I think the OP is about anyway. I might be wrong though.
I personally think this is a good post showing the usefulness of being armed.

Gun free zones
Crowded areas
Places where escape is difficult

2. everyone at a gun show is armed and school shooters are cowards

God has convinced these dickless wonders that it's more rewarding to take innocent life. The meeker the better.

You never know since that could change one day. People also thought there would never be a mass shooting in a movie theater but here we are.

Car wrecks don't happens at dealerships either. Gun advocates are cowards. They want easy targets. At a gun show they might get shot back at. So they pick vulnerable targets instead. Like schools, the workplace or religious buildings. Also more people congregate at these places so they can increase their kill rate.

I think your point is a false equivalence. Mass shooters typically have a flavor of target I don't think gun shows provide. Most of them seem to be targeting the highest level of innocents and "normies" for a lack of a better word. Plus I think most mass shooters feel like gun shows are part of "their people", rightly or wrongly.

Like someone else mentioned I think they are after the biggest reaction and making the most amount of day to day life seem terrifying and terrorize average people in the street.
