Why do pro-Gunists still defend guns despite all the mass shootings and school shootings?

There was another shooting in a Chesapeake Walmart a week ago over a dispute.

Human lives aren’t significant unless it’s a close relative.

@eMortal sadly seems so

@eMortal And even then it’s acceptable as long as you can put the blame on someone else.

@eMortal more gun sales means more $$$$ for the NRA. And money buys favors.

@justanothername You mean these dudes are NRA members?

@justanothername The NRA has a powerful lobby in Congress but the issue is deeper than that.
Basically people buy guns to protect themselves from the unrest caused by severe inequalities.
Gun ownership is also a way to give the middle finger to the Federal government.
When it comes quantity and quality, gun ownership is like sex in high school. 😂 We overestimate how much others are doing it!!! We feel left behind. You see a hand gun in a home invasion incident, the first instinct is to buy AR15, just to be ”sure” 😌. You can’t possibly tell them an AR15 is not needed to defend a house. The answer you get is “but criminals have them!”. Sure, why not dig up trenches and put a machine gun in front of your house! 😀
The recent stabbing incident where 4 unfortunate university students died shows that if someone really wants to hurt you, even a knife will do serious damage.

@sunsporter1649 when we say no guns, it means NRA and non-NRA members included. If later on one acquires a gun illegally, let the police deal with that. We pay taxes for reason. Let’s not police ourselves.
