Believe it or not, the amount of gun violence in the U.S. has traumatized Americans

As what happened at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas were a loud sound caused mass panic due to fears of an active shooter which turned out to be a false alarm. And I’m not surprised. Shootings and mass shooting have happened nationwide in stores, sanctuaries, schools, malls, movie theaters, public events, etc. Where One minute you could be shopping at your local department store, the next you’re running for your life because you hear gun shots.

And the democrats keep preaching, "defund the police". Idiots.
ron122 · 41-45, M
@Graylight A SOLID TWO YEARS of "defund the POLICE." Idiot.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@ron122 Quick - what does "defund the police" mean? Sad.
ron122 · 41-45, M
@Graylight It means crime goes up. Just look at Minnesota. Now they want to hire more police because crimes out of control. And on the defund the FBI thing, a few Republicans said that, but you people are acting like the whole Republican party wants to. Put that's how democrats are. Just make up a lie and run with it.

I live in rural America and hear gunshots often. I usually walk daily all year long with one exception--during deer hunting season. Too risky. Even though people aren't legally able to shoot within a half mile of residences, it is widely ignored. My next door neighbor was target practicing in his back yard and popped off well over 100 shots one time. So I know gunshots. It concerns me that if a neighbor shot and killed someone at their house, I probably wouldn't give it a second thought.
Firearms recently became the number one cause of death for children in the United States, surpassing motor vehicle deaths
GOD BLESS AMERICAN AND GOD BLESS GUNS. its a sad thing what people do.

So lets by all means put more guns, metal detectors, swat-clad officers and emergency death drills in the classrooms. Nothing says "Nothing to worry about" like preparing for war in Mrs. Coogan's classroom.

I live near Cicero in Illinois. I hear gunshots every night.

@ScarletWitch Bad energy in the Chicago area.

I’m not traumatized. I’ve long accepted that some people are crazy and they commit crime. Life is a crapshoot to some extent. All sorts of things will kill you.

The US has shootings daily. When four or more are killed *that* makes the news.

Its a sign of the times.
