Believe it or not, the amount of gun violence in the U.S. has traumatized Americans

As what happened at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas were a loud sound caused mass panic due to fears of an active shooter which turned out to be a false alarm. And I’m not surprised. Shootings and mass shooting have happened nationwide in stores, sanctuaries, schools, malls, movie theaters, public events, etc. Where One minute you could be shopping at your local department store, the next you’re running for your life because you hear gun shots.

I live in rural America and hear gunshots often. I usually walk daily all year long with one exception--during deer hunting season. Too risky. Even though people aren't legally able to shoot within a half mile of residences, it is widely ignored. My next door neighbor was target practicing in his back yard and popped off well over 100 shots one time. So I know gunshots. It concerns me that if a neighbor shot and killed someone at their house, I probably wouldn't give it a second thought.
