@BillyMack Mafia is running them.

And they are getting insider knowledge from who knows how many in the sports teams. So they are complicit in this as well and likely to be paid off pretty good too.

@cherokeepatti @4meAndyou
From the same article I linked above:
"Pritzker’s comments came one day after his political campaign released partial 2024 tax returns for the governor and his wife, MK, showing they reported $10.3 million in taxable income, including the $1.425 million in gambling revenue."
According to Forbes, Pritzger's net worth at the time was $3.7 billion, so his taxable income of $10.3 million on that vast fortune was less than 3/10 of 1% of his net worth.
Like with all billionaires, Pritzker's accountants know how to keep him in tax-sheltered investments (which, according to Forbes,* have since netted him about $200 million, well above the inflation rate), but will Bernie Sanders or other Democrats complain about Pritzker not paying his fair share?
Naaah... Pritzker is the kind of billionaire Democrats like.
* Forbes, which keeps a regular record of billionaires, placed the governor’s net worth at $3.9 billion as of Wednesday, just higher than its $3.7 billion estimate when he released his tax returns in October of last year. Pritzker has used his personal fortune as an heir to the Hyatt Hotels Corp. to bankroll his political campaigns while also helping fund other Democratic causes nationwide.

The REASON betting on professional sports always used to be illegal is that it was then, and is now, so prone to corruption.
