The driver that hit Star

Has finally pled guilty on all accounts.
So now we are waiting for the court date to be set. My buddy has one of the top auto and injury lawyer at his firm working on the case

Only thing I'm worried about is that Star in myself will have to be witnesses. I have no clue how I will do in a courtroom situation or on the stand.

And she has been through so much trauma I hate that she's going to have to relive it one more time talking about it on the stand.

It can be cathartic to face the situation. Not easy, but once you see it all play out it strangely does feel better.

You will do great whatever you do.

But hopefully since he pled guilty you won't have to be involved at all.

1. You will do just fine. If you want reassurance, check out how OTHER people behave in court on YouTube channels.

2. The defense lawyer may try to get to you. Just tell yourself he/she is trying to get the guy who hurt Star a sweet deal and don’t let him/her.

@Mamapolo2016 yeah I feel like the criminal case will be just fine it's the civil case that's going to be a bit more intense. Apparently they are claiming that she broke quite a few laws herself for not having her shoes on having her music too loud sitting too close to the steering wheel having her phone connected to her Bluetooth and they claim her brake lights weren't working.

@Cigarguy Here’s one relief at least. According to The Zebra website:

It is, in fact, legal to drive a car, pickup truck, or similar vehicle without footwear in all 50 states. Some took a long time to respond, but eventually, all confirmed that barefoot driving is indeed legal. Since then, the laws have remained the same.

2nd, if she was rear-ended, how could they tell if her brake lights were working or not? They may have been damaged in the collision.

@Mamapolo2016 yeah she was stopped at a red light, had her belt on has insurance. Her music wasn't very loud and I have no idea why she likes to drive without her shoes on. and they have proved that she only used her phone after she got hit. She tried to call her dad but he was in court then she called me.

Its good he is pleading guilty. He deserves to be put in front of a firing squad. Hope there is a lot of money coming her way.

@Lilnonames from the way I understand it she can have a written statement for the criminal trial but she might have to get on the witness stand for the civil case that we are filing as well
