Interesting thing in the news, the American Supreme Court has let Trump off inciting an invasion of Congress, & the Capitol. Is democracy dead in USA?

Not being American I don't know the full import of this in America, but it seems the rule of law has been overturned!

Fascism will soon be mainstream in the United States, it seems.

No. Look. The president is voted in by the electorate. Once that happens he needs the flexibility to govern as is necessary. He or even she can't spend weeks in court because the other side doesn't agree with his official acts. It would cripple democracy. If anything the court allowed the frivolous personal lawsuits against Trump to continue unabated which seems impartial. What's your bright idea?

@StygianKohlrabi frivolous how? The man committed numerous acts which I would consider treasonous.
@LordShadowfire I know you would consider them treasonous. The frivolous personal ones were the dressing room event and the "hush money" one.

@StygianKohlrabi Oh, you mean the way he intentionally cheated on his taxes by misrepresenting the hush money as a legal defense when it was supposed to be a campaign expense? The law he violated that exists for the purpose of transparency in spending campaign funds? That frivolous suit?

As for the dressing room, I guess you feel like he should be able to look at or grab whatever рussу he wants.
@LordShadowfire looking at a woman is a crime now? 👀 that woman doesn't even know him personally. she seems unhinged.

they cobbled together the hush money case from nothing and got a Trump hostile jury
@LordShadowfire I'm his master actually
