for the clowns on here who defend drag queens around children

what kind of parents take their kids to be around this disgusting crap?
no wonder so many people get called groomers these days. there is good reason for it

Based on the 5 seconds of 240p footage they posted here, seems pretty inappropriate for kids. I just think it's weird how the right targets LGBT people, broadly, when there are tons of conventionally heterosexual events which are at least as inappropriate. This would be like if they wanted to ban all dance lessons & recitals for kids just because some studios are creepy dance moms-esque shit that have little girls dancing around in bikini-lookin' outfits for grown men to rate them. I don't really know how to legislate that without introducing excess legal ambiguity, but if there were any political faction looking to do that on a consistent basis and they had a way, I'd sign off on that.

👋👋👋

I don't feel targeted, they just don't want drag shows for kids, pretty common sense really.

@BritishFailedAesthetic Right, so instead of targeting sexual performance for kids, they target LGBT-coded performance for kids. This is a form of targeting LGBT people.
@BritishFailedAesthetic I suppose you're another one of those who think that this video is how literally all drag shows go, just like the original poster?
@LordShadowfire Its weird to do it to kids.
@BritishFailedAesthetic Do what? Again, do you literally think all drag shows look like the one @Torsten shared?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@MasterLee Yes, as I said great for me over a pint or stag do fun 🤪 but for kids? FFS 😡
@LordShadowfire Even well covered is weird, unless you are a transwoman it is fetishistic.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@BlueVeins inappropriate for children but tried deflecting away from it to a other issue that makes you more comfortable. what a surprise
@BritishFailedAesthetic Okay, but I would encourage you to research "drag queen story hour" to understand how it's not remotely the same.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@LordShadowfire and while he searches up drag queen story hour he should look up how there are registered child sex offenders in it and they have been welcome with open arms into schools around children
@Torsten And then think about the fact that everybody usually knows where the registered sex offenders are...
Torsten · 36-40, M
@LordShadowfire but yet still allowed them around children?
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Torsten
inappropriate for children but tried deflecting away from it to a other issue that makes you more comfortable. what a surprise
Are you familiar with the concept of an analogy?
@BlueVeins Nope.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@BlueVeins yeah, are you familiar with deflection?
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Torsten I didn't expect you to throw a hissy fit over this, given that it's such a well-rounded view of the situation. I don't know how I could've composed this differently to improve your comprehension.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@BlueVeins a hissy fit? seems like a reach. Just merely pointing out what I think you tried doing
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Torsten You mischaracterized what I said in such a ridiculous way that I basically have no choice but to assume malice on your part. You're smarter than this.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@BlueVeins
I just think it's weird how the right targets LGBT people, broadly, when there are tons of conventionally heterosexual events which are at least as inappropriate.
that to me comes off as deflection.
I dont see why so many who come into this thread try bring in other issues instead of just focusing on this one thing. If you had just said the first sentence of your original thread, that would have been all anyone would have needed to say but instead bring up things that i see as no relevance. Yeah others are doing some horrid disgusting things in the world also. Why is it though when this subject comes up though people tend to only bring those events instead of talking about it any other time? it only seems to happen to deflect attention away from this actual topic.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Torsten I addressed the issue of whether or not drag shows /w kids in general are acceptable because your title implied that they were not. And yes, talking about the acceptability of drag shows with kids necessarily requires us to talk about broader social standards about events with kids at them because that informs the social context in which this whole discussion exists.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@BlueVeins hmm adult entertainers, entertaining children. I think its a no brainer here
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Torsten What about drag queens who aren't adult entertainers?
Torsten · 36-40, M
@BlueVeins havent seen such drag queens so i wont speak on them. What i see is the type of thing in that video.
Drag queens in schools, family friendly or not has no place in schools though.
Outside of schools if parents wanna involve their children in that, thats on them. If what happens during that though is the type of thing in the video, I think its only fair to be disgusted and outraged over it and want it stopped. other than that its no ones business if children are not being harmed in anyway.
Again though schools should be off limit all together
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Torsten Jesus christ then, so why'd you say that people who defend drag queens around kids are clowns if you're fine with having drag queens around kids? Are we both clowns?
